What problems does Theca solve?

## Sartre’s Nausea: Plot

Published in 1938, la nausée [nausea] is Jean-Paul Sartre's first novel. It consists of the diary of Antoine Roquentin, a young man of thirty who, after a series of adventurous travels, settles in a provincial town, Bouville, with the intention of completing a historical research on an eighteenth-century libertine, the Marquis of Rollebon. After three years in Bouville he begins to write a personal diary, the first dated piece of which dates back to Monday 29 January 1932.

The decision to publish these writings is not the author's: the notebooks were later found among his papers and published without any retouching. Roquentin lives in a hotel room near the station and spends his evenings at the "Meeting of the railway workers". For his research he spends hours in the municipal library, where he meets the self-taught, a strange scholar who reads all the books owned by the library in alphabetical order. In the flow of everyday life, disturbing signs infiltrate: he picks up a pebble to make it bounce on the water and inexplicably throws it; he feels in his own hands a new way of taking objects; he feels another man's hand as a "big white worm". 
_He does not feel "bourgeois" at ease in the world._

## Existential Nausea
He is convinced that he has contracted a disease. It is called "**The Nausea**". 
It consists in the inability to give an order to things: the perception of the subject is altered and the story proceeds by hallucinations. Until, in front of the root of a chestnut tree in a garden, the "contingency" of existence is revealed to him: Roquentin feels reduced to a passive object, he does not succeed in distinguishing himself from the magma of things and the awareness of living from the given in fact to live. Thus everything, including its own existence, becomes in his eyes "too much", that is, unjustifiable and senseless. Understanding that "everything is free" causes "Nausea": "the stomach turns and everything starts to float". The regular and reassuring life of the Bouville provincials (whose Sunday walk is given a fiercely ironic description) is nothing more than an attempt to hide the senselessness of existence. Before leaving Bouville, Roquentin enters for the last time the "Meeting of the railway workers", where, listening to jazz music, he suddenly sees the possibility of giving meaning to life through writing.

## Sartre's Nausea: Analysis
Sartre has transferred his philosophical thought into the form of the fictional novel and has inserted a note of suspense in the story, according to the model of the detective novel. The speculative nature of these diary notes requires the compression of the action in favor of the inner monologue. Speaking of the fictitious character of the "adventure" (the opposite of "Nausea") which presupposes the transformation of life into sequences linked to a connection of chance, it is the protagonist himself who explains the reasons for the inadequacy of his experiences with respect to the structure of the traditional novel; in this sense the NAUSEA is an example of non-conformism.

The new [Wiki](https://theca.gitbook.io/theca/) update regards especially Theca Tokenomics, as we defined distribution and circulation of THECA tokens.

## THECA token Distribution

To ensure transparency and security, we specify that each distribution wallet has no more than 375 millions THECA.
THECA is a Token of the Solana blockchain and tokens are distributed over 6 main pools. These are **Community**, **Team & Development**, **Founders**, **Pre-Sale**, **Rewards & Airdrop** and **Reserve**. 

### Community (60% of Total Supply)
Theca is a **community-centric project**, that is why the biggest part of tokens’ allocation goes to the community.

The Community Treasury will have a gradual monthly release scheduled over a period of 4 years, starting on the Token Generation Event (TGE). Community distribution is unlocked, no cliff, 48 months vesting, total 6.000 Millions THECA. 

### Team & Development (10% of Total Supply)
Our Team allows us to **make our vision come true**. 
In particular the 10% of the distribution is split between, 4% of Total Supply, owned by the Team and the 6% of Total Supply for Development.

#### Team Funds
The Team Treasury will have a gradual monthly vesting release over a period of 45 months. Distribution is locked at TGE, 3 months cliff, total 400 Millions THECA.

#### Development Funds
The Development Treasury will have a gradual monthly vesting release scheduled over a period of 45 months. Distribution is locked at TGE, 3 months cliff,

### Founders (9% of Total Supply)
Founders distribution is locked at TGE, 6 months cliff. The Founders Treasury will have a gradual monthly vesting release.

### Pre-Sale (10% of Total Supply)
**Pre-Sale** tokens can be retrieved through Theca Private or Public events. Pre-Sale distribution is locked at TGE, 12 months cliff, total 1.000 Millions THECA. The Pre-Sale will have a gradual monthly vesting release

For users who participate in the Pre-Sale a **vesting contract** will be released. The Tokens will be locked for 12 months and will have a gradual monthly vesting release every month, over a period of 6 months.

### Rewards & Airdrop (6% of Total Supply)
**Theca’s Airdrop campaign** was successful and we are looking forward to replicating rewards initiatives. 
Tokens reserved for Rewards & Airdrop are distributed in the following percentages: 

#### AirDrop Funds (3% of Total Supply)
The AirDrop Funds Treasury begins at token distribution. Distribution is unlocked. No cliff, 48 months release, total 600 Millions THECA.

#### Reward Funds (3% of Total Supply)
The Reward Funds Treasury begins at token distribution. Distribution is unlocked. No cliff, 48 months release, total 600 Millions THECA

### Reserve (5% of Total Supply)
THECA Reserve tokens are meant to be used to integrate specific pools just **in case of need**. Reserve distribution is locked at TGE, 24 months cliff, total 500 Millions THECA. The Reserve Treasury is reserved to a Multi-sign Board.
_Please note_: At the end of the distribution term (48 months from TGE), the remaining tokens will be burnt.

## THECA token Circulation
As far as the **Circulation**, THECA tokens will be released over a 4**-year period divided into trimesters**.

## What is a DAO?
A DAO is a governance model often used for DApps, projects and crypto investment funds.
DAO stands for **Decentralized Autonomous Organization**, automated via code and open to anyone (as long as some basic requirements are met). 
**Decentralized** in nature and based on the automatic execution of **smart contracts**, the DAO has become very popular in the blockchain space. As **autonomous**, a DAO is created and managed by a community, which collectively manages its funds and projects. Activity and executive power are obtained and managed through codified rules using smart contracts. Both DAO financial transactions and the program rules are stored in a **blockchain**-type database.

## Theca DAO
Theca DAO has the purpose to provide a digital and **secure ledger**, which keeps track of financial interactions, fights against forgery by using a trusted "**timestamp**" and stores all information in a decentralized way. **Transparency**, **traceability** and **democracy** are the main features of Theca DAO.

As a decentralized organization, Theca DAO uses a set of rules and interoperable smart contracts that is maintained by the Theca DAO and is deployed on the [Solana Blockchain](https://solana.com/).

Theca DAO is a **community-run**, **community-governed** decentralized autonomous organization. Changes are made through proposals and voted on both by the Council or by the holders of a minimun amount of THECA token, according to each specific proposal.   
Theca facilitates financial interactions, uses a trusted "timestamp" and decentralizes all information and authors' works. In this **community-led organization**, any decisions are made through a governed vote including what, how, and when Theca DAO proposals are made. 

## Theca Council Members and the Proposals
In order to interact within the DAO and make changes, Theca DAO has a well-defined **voting mechanism**. **Proposals** are presented by **Theca Council Members** (maximum 9 members). If the proposal is supported by at least **two** other Council Members it will pass to the vote of the entire Council, or it will be voted by all the holders who have a **minimum amount of THECA** defined within the rules of the **DAO program**. 

The actions that can be voted on will be:
- Proposals for changes
- Updates
- Use of resources such as wallets and assets
- Treasury revenue allocations and distribution
- Protocol and app fees
- Proposals for the operation of the Dapp Theca
- New ways of voting
- Owning THECA token

To demonstrate the right to vote in the Theca DAO, it is necessary **to own THECA Token**. 
Anyone who holds THECA token has a **voting right proportional to the number of tokens they own**. Theca Council Members can also propose changes to the functioning of the DAO itself, and vote for new voting mechanisms.

## Theca DAO Voting System
The proposals can be voted in two different ways. 
They can be voted **only by the board** or **by the theca holders** with a minimum amount of theca. This is defined during the creation of the proposal.
The governance mechanism is designed to be **flexible** and **upgradeable** over time. 
It is possible to vote **Against** or **In-Favor** of the published **Theca Improvement Proposals** (**TIP**). 
Some examples of Theca Improvement Proposals (**TIP**) voted on are:

- Treasury revenue allocations and distribution
- Protocol and app fees (entry, exit, repayment, deposits, etc.)
- Price oracle changes (where pricing comes from)
- Risk parameters (i.e. liquidity ratio, debt value)
- Incentivized rewards for THECA tokens
- Upgrades to the foundational protocols (like supporting a new blockchain, pool, protocol, community implementation partner, etc.) 
- New ways of voting
- Operation of the Theca Dapp

## Theca community and funds management
The key to creating a **successful DAO** is a **good project** and an **active community**. The more people join Theca Project and participate in the governance of the Theca DAO, the stronger the decentralization becomes. 
**The authority is spread among multiple stakeholders**, this means a new proposal cannot be censored and the votes cannot be technically manipulated.
Theca DAO organizes the community and allows it to create an **efficient organization** with a technology that guarantees **integrity** and **democracy**. 
In fact, the management of theca funds is also based on the principle of democracy. Treasury is handled via a **multi-signature** (multisig) wallet, which can only be used if the majority of all key participants agree.
